Novelty was selected by Coca-Cola International Beverage Private Limited to supply, install, test and commission the sprinkler system in the Sugar Storage. The objective of this project was To Ensure maximum safety from any kind of fire incidence in the Installed area.

The design of this project has been followed the COD & Guidelines of  NFPA-13, So the client will be benefited to control their Hazardous area like Sugar Storage to protect the fire incident with minimum time & solve the problem quickly. It was designed in such a manner to provide Compliance Support & Fire Safety.

There is a set of High efficient System of Fire Pump with automation control function installed in this project, the sprinkler heads are installed at Sugar Storage area and also connected with fire through a hydraulic calculated pipeline. All the products are followed to select the approval authority roles & guidelines as like UL, FM, VDS & LPCB. The quality of every single product is been QC Pass by Certified authorities. The water source & the remote point has followed the maximum efficient PSI to fight against Fire Incidence. The system is ready for operation 24/7 in an Auto mood.    All the mechanical valves & the control unit has an integrated signal synchronized with central FDS Panel.  As having a Star Delta Control Panel for The fire pumps, the system has a smart program into the panel to collect data like pump operation & damage history, log, etc.  we installed a very high sensible and smart featured product in this project. the control unit also contains high efficient & long-life products so the system will not exist an operational failure.

This project took eleven consecutive steps to be completed. They are:

  1.  Pre-visit for collect data,
  2. Proposed Design,
  3.  Business presentation,
  4. Finalized the BOQ & Product feature as per NFPA-72,
  5. Supply all the local & Consumable materials,
  6. Install all the products as per NFPA-72,
  7. Programming & Commissioning The System.
  8. Submit the as Built Design & Related all Documents.
  9. Trained the factory representative for operating & Maintenance the system.
  10. Conducted Internal Audit.
  11. Pass the installed system & design from Authorized Audit.

There are tons of benefits to installing the Sprinkler System. First of all, system simplicity and reliability. Wet pipe sprinkler systems have the least number of components and therefore, the lowest number of items to malfunction. This produces unexcelled reliability which is important since sprinklers may be asked to sit in waiting for many years before they are needed. This simplicity aspect also becomes important in facilities where system maintenance may not be performed with the desired frequency. Secondly, its relatively low installation and maintenance expenses. Due to their overall simplicity, wet pipe sprinklers require the least amount of installation time and capital. Maintenance cost savings are also realized since less service time is generally required compared to other system types. These savings become important when maintenance budgets are shrinking. Moreover, it is very easy to perform modifications to it. Wet pipe fire sprinkler systems are advantageous since modifications involve shutting down the water supply, draining pipes, and making alterations. Following the work, the system is pressure tested and restored. Additional work for detection and special control equipment is avoided which again saves time and expense.

There are three types of Hazard Such as Light Hazard, Ordinary Hazard & Extra Hazard. In Sugar storage ordinary hazard is followed because it is a food processing area. The combustibility of materials present is low in Sugar Storage and the quantity is moderate, with no stockpiles of combustible material exceeding 8 feet (2.4 meters).

Some challenges were faced by our engineering team while working on this project. We dealt with the challenges in terms of Standard, Rules & International guidelines. For Scaffolding, a Load test was conducted & inspected in the presence of factory Authority & third party certified Inspector.
