ELECTRICAL LAYOUT DRAWING (ELD)

We design electrical systems for industrial and residential buildings, including substation, panel board, generator, and electrical layout. Many of our customers are required to produce a drawing of their existing buildings, commonly known as ‘As Built Drawing’. The drawing includes a single line diagram (SLD), Electrical Layout Diagram (ELD), Earthing Layout Diagram, etc.

From Conceptual Design to Detailed Specifications

Novelty design safe, reliable, efficient low voltage power distribution and control systems; from conceptual designs to preliminary and detailed specifications where these are associated with our core markets: moving structures, water control, and renewable energy: tidal and hydropower.

The power and control systems range from critical facilities requiring an uninterrupted power supply (UPS) and generator back-up to standard automatic systems with manual operating needs. We are proud to offer engineering design services focused on providing and delivering innovative solutions to mechanical engineering structures. Our electrical designs can meet power and control needs in the following areas:

  • Single Line Diagram (SLD)

Single Line Diagram (SLD) The single line diagram (SLD) is the most basic of the set of diagrams that are used to document the electrical functionality of the substation. Its emphasis is on communicating the functions of the power equipment and the associated protection and control system.

A one-line diagram is usually used along with other notational simplifications, such as the per-unit system. A secondary advantage to using a one-line diagram is that the simpler diagram leaves more space for non-electrical, such as economic, information to be included.

  • Electrical Layout Diagram (ELD)

Electrical layout diagram an exact graphical representation of the layout of the various fixtures, equipment, utilities, and buildings of the plant.

Types of Electrical Layout drawings

  1. Lighting Layout
  2. Switch gear layout
  3. Generator and other equipment layouts
  4. Earthing Layout
  5. Lightning protection system layout
  6. cable Layout
  7. Conduit layout
  8. cable tray layout
  9. Area classification Layout - Hazardous Areas
  • Earthing System

The transient nature of lightning with its associated fast rise times and large magnitude currents mean that special consideration needs to be given to earthing, for lightning protection to be effective.

Many factors such as soil resistivity variations, installation accessibility, layout, and existing physical features are all site-specific and tend to affect decisions on grounding methods employed. The primary aim of a direct strike earthing system is to:

– Efficiently dissipate lightning surge energy into the ground

– Help ensure safety of equipment and personnel

  • Load Calculation

  • Bus Bat Trunking (BBT)

Designing of Bus Bat Trunking (BBT) systems for Substations & Industries is one of our top skills. In this service we provide the bbt capacity for the system and designed layout of bbt run with adequate measures. We can also provide advice and recommendations on related systems, e.g.:

Fire alarms and site security

Special environments (e.g. corrosive, hazardous, etc.,)

• Connectivity with mains electricity power for renewable energy systems
